Can I bring witnesses to my SSD or SSI disability hearing?

Video Transcription

For the most part the answer is yes. Most judges will allow you to bring a witness, however there are certain judges that would prefer for you to provide them an affidavit and have it as documentary evidence. Instead of taking up hearing time with an additional witness, live at the hearing. However, it is important for you to know the distinction between the judges. It is important for your witness to be prepared for the hearing. It is not a good idea to bring a witness into the hearing, that has not had a consultation with you and your attorney so that they know what to expect at the hearing.
